Step Three: Soak the tops of the shirts (up to the end of the t-shirt sleeves) in the red dye for approximately 10 minutes.

Step Four:Remove the shirts from the dye carefully so you don’t get any red dye on the part of the shirt that is still white. Then rinse in cold water until the water is clear. This will take a while.

Step Five: After you are done rinsing set aside the shirts and prepare the green dye according to package instructions. Then put the other half of the shirt in the green dye for about 10 minutes. Make sure you leave a small 2-3 inch gap of white.

Step Six: Rinse the Green dye out of the shirt without having the green and red sides make contact. After they are rinsed, ring them out and throw them in the dryer.

Step Seven: After it is dried the seeds are ready to be painted on. I cut up some poster paper and put it in the shirt to make sure that the paint doesn’t bleed through and get on the other side.
